Can you masturbate with Bacterial Vaginosis?

I was diagnosed with BV 2 days ago. Im on antibiotics twice a day and have taken them 4 times now. I masturbated last night with a sex toy that I cleaned thoroughly and even out a condom on to make sure. I didnt notice any problems at the time. But this morning I had a lot of brown discharge. My period also ended 2 or 3 days ago. So is this just old blood that came out because I masturbated? Or did I make my BV worse? I know youre not supposed to have sex for 2 weeks but couldn't find much online about whether or not it's safe to masturbate with BV.

    not to worry, its old blood! you can masturbate while on treatment.. its great and beneficial for the vagina to self clean itself. after my cycle i make extra sure all the old blood comes down because thats a contributor to Bv
