Can you take Gaviscon Advance a few hrs after taking Carafate (Sucralfate)?

Has anyone done this? I am having a bad day and Carafate for some reason did not work. Carafate forms a coating and Gaviscon Advance (the UK kind) forms a raft. I just want to make sure they wouldn't interact in some weird way. Thanks! (It's about the physical mechanism they both have. I know you're not supposed to take just regular antacids within an hr. of taking Carafate.)

Jen, I don't have an answer to your question but I would like to know how the sucralfate did anything to relieve your symptoms of LPR or GERD. My Dr. suggested I try this and I have a supply but have hesitated using it until I had some positive feedback from someone taking it.
