Can you take omega 3 supps after u stopped antidepressants

Hello. I had been recommended to take antidepressants for my extreme anxiety and I took it for 8 months. Now it's been a little more than a month that I am completely off antidepressants, and currently I am under no other medication too. But after stopping it, now I do feel a bit anxious and I do have a lot of mood swings, n at times I really don't get any interest in doing activities. I heard omega 3 helps a lot when it comes to mood changes n all. Can anyone tell me about this. Thankssmile

I take them when coming off anti-depressants or pain killers as I find they help with the withdrawal symptoms, not sure if they help with mood changes but I'm of the opinion that if they help my body feel stronger and healthier then that has to be a positive thing.   I wish you well with your journey :-)

Thanks a lot Susan32309.smile I hope it will help me. But all the time I ask anyone about omega 3, I only hear this that's it's not needed for my age, and that it's unnecessary n all. I am 26 now btw. Can U please tell me whether this supplement has anything to do with age!

It doesn't have anything at all to do with age Tasnim - not as far as I'm aware, I've taken it for years in various forms, and have given it to my animals too . . . :-)
