Canabis oil used with prescribed medication
Posted , 6 users are following.
My husband has Parkinsons and is interested in trying Canabis Oil to treat his pain, and maybe more.... we are worried that it might react with his present medication which is Sinemet, Rogotein patches, Amlodipine and Zapain (strong pain killers). Do any of you take these medicines, as well as Canabis Oil and have you had a good result. very interested to hear from you.

Hi Janet
i have a movement disorder and use the oil with very good results. I've found the one that works for me is called liquid gold from simply cbd. It has very high levels of anti inflammatories. You will find the website on google and can purchase from there (obviously there are other company's selling the oils - simply is a British site and ethical also very good value compared to others, they also publish their lab reports.
You our just need to leave a 2 hour gap between the oil and other medications, 4 hours if you take blood thinners or blood pressure tablets.
There me is a support group with the company name on Facebook if you have an account, many people use the oil with Parkinson's. Also the people will help you on the company's website.
all the best x

Hi Tezes, I did reply to you yesterday but my post doesn't appear to have arrived on this site. Just to say thank you for all your advice and we will look into buying Liquid Gold on the net. I am glad this oil works for you and my husband cannot wait to use it. Good luck.

You're welcome, I hope it helps. As you are interested in starting it I'll just add a couple of pointers. It's best to start with a low dose and increase slowly, for eg 1 drop a day increasing to 1 drop three times a day over a couple of weeks then adding another drop a week. Try and space the 3 drops out evenly over the day like you do with any other medication. I take 3 drops three times a day and get a lot of benefits from that. Some people take more some less just stick to what helps he will know when he finds the right dose for him. Take it with food (even a snack will do) and drop it onto a spoon for accuracy then let it fall off the spoon under the tongue wiping any residue on the underside of the tongue, leave it for two minutes before taking a drink or any food it's absorbed better that way. Don't forget to leave the required time between taking the oil and any other meds as I said in the last post. Wishing you both all the best xx

Hi Tezes. We had already ordered some CBD oil capsules from a reliable source and I am just waiting to get the OK from our Doctor and my husband will start taking them, probably next week. If this oil does the trick we may move on to your liquid gold. I will keep you informed.

Hello, my husband has Parkinsons and not fibromyalgia, but this CBD Oil helps lots of conditions I've heard. If he finds it successful I will report back to you and Tezes. regards

Try removing the C word if you've included it in case it's reference is not permitted x

Sorry Im not familiar with cbd oil in capsule form so can't comment on the properties it includes, its strength or absorption rate. Maybe the company that makes it can advise you, all the best with it.

'Hi Tezes a well known firm called healthspan[/b].co.uk/cbd[/b] has been running l page advertisements in various magazines saying CBD Oil you can Trust and introducing it at a special price for 30 capsules at £9.49. It says this oil is high strength. We have received the capsules, which are quite small but haven't yet got round to using them - we are going through one or two dramas at home at the moment. I will report back to you when my hubby starts taking them. By the way, are you in England?

Hi Tezes I have just sent you a post, and once again they are not printing it. I have only used the words cbd oil, as you have , but your posts are getting through. I can't type it all again, sorry.

Hi Janet, yes in Kent.
High strength isn't necessarily better as its best to start with a low dose and build it up gradually also that's expensive even if you only use 1 a day it's only a months supply. You will find the oil absorbs more efficiently and last longer, you can also determine the dose and adjust it as necessary. The other important aspect is the 'type' of oil. Different ones have different properties so whilst the basic is the same they contains certain components (terpenes) that work best for certain health issues.
im unable to attach the diagram I have to explain this in more detail - if you are on Facebook you can search me and send me a private message unless you know how to do this on this site ?

Hi Tezes, you are working very hard on my case, and I appreciate it but I am afraid I am not on facebook, am an OAP and not very up to date on technology, as you obviously are. I use my laptop in a very basic way, I'm not even very au fait with using this 'Patient' website.
However I realise there are a lot of different oils out there, I didn't realise there were different oils for different illnesses, but someone else told us to use small amounts to begin with . I thought my capsules were very cheap, because I have seen some much more expensive. How much do you pay for your liquid gold, and how much do you take each day?
Did I read you live in Kent? Because of your name I presumed you were living abroad - maybe USA. I live in Bromley, Kent - perhaps we are neighbours.
Sorry I can't be more positive at this stage because I have not had the opportunity to speak to a Doctor to see if the oil would clash with my husband's medication. When you say check your personal messages
where do you mean - on this site?
Bye for now, will write again soon. xx

if you click on your name your own page will come up and you can then read the message I sent you.
(1 bottle lasts me 3 months cost £15.)
