Cancer scare

I'm a 52 year old man who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes two years ago. This past February 2017 I was peeing more than I thought I should , so I went into the doctor. They found microscopic hematuria in my urine. With my age and smoking history they sent me to a urologist. They did another UA, rectal exam, CT scan of my abdominal and pelvic area, and a cystoscopy. They said they found nothing. Ever since I've been scared they've missed something. I've also had 3 head CT scans and 3 chest xrays and blood work. My doctor said it's all normal. That I was suffering from health anxiety. They put me on effexor xr 37.5 mg for this. They just upped it to 75mg . I've been tired since they upped it. Is this normal? And should I trust them when they say I'm ok?

Do you know if you still have hematuria? What is the doctor's explanation for that finding? What kind of cancer are you most concerned it might be? Do you see yourself as an anxious type?
Tiredness can be the result of many things. I don't have experience of taking effexor, so I don't know if it has tiredness as a normal effect. I do have experience of tiredness, but of course this usually passes.
My son had Type 1 diabetes and frequent peeing was the main sign that something was wrong, leading to the diagnosis.
My hunch is that you are worrying unnecessarily and, since they seem to have taken your symptoms seriously, doing a large number of tests and checks, I suggest the doctors are trustworthy.

They said that some people just have hematuria every so often. That heavy physical work could do it. I haven't had it since.

To ease your mind may I suggest getting a 2nd opinion? In my opinion, doctors today are too free to "give you another pill."

There are many reasons for microscopic hematuria, including stones, bladder ca and kidney ca.CT of abdominal and pelvis and cystoscopy of the bladder are normal. You don't have cancer of the bladder or kidney,.stones also should have been visualized, unless you passed them before the test.
kidney disease, not cancer, can cause hematuria.adavanced prostate cancer can cause hematuria.I assume your PSA is normal and if so,you don't have cancer.
sleep well my friend.Probably you need to see a nephrologist.
Sleep well my friend,no cancer.
