Cannot bend or move the tip of my middle finger on my left hand

Hi There,

For as long as I can remember, the very tip of my middle finger on the left hand is completely non functional. It doesn't cause me any pain, and its not seized in any one position. it just wont move, as if I have no muscle response there.

I can bend the tip down with my other hand, and its quite floppy too, so I can flick it and it'll bounce up and down. but when I curl all the other finger of my hand inwards, this finger will just say straight with no ability to move down.

It's not exactly life altering, its just a small inconvenience to things like keyboard typing, playing guitar etc.

Anyone have an idea what this could be, my searches only seem to suggest mallet finger or trigger finger, but my finger isn't seized, in pain or stuck in a bent position, its just floppy.

And could it be something reversible?
