Canoeing down River Dart - one year on.

Hi old friends and new,

Just a quick update. I had my second hip op on 29 Feb last year - all gone well, very. sometimes I try new things, out of my comfort zone, as I'm still healing a year plus on and bodies do need exercise.

Went on a canoe night trip down the River Dart in Devon.

well, all was a bit more than I expected, as we had to carry canoes down to river and lauch them; then get in; the campfire and soup half way on trip was up a high muddy bank; more paddling after, then carried canoes back to road. Phew!

No regrets, and I knew I could decline to carry the canoes....but mucked in.

There was another 70 yo there, and both of us sooooo glad we had the same operation.

Sore but happy today, recovering slowly......onwards and upwards
