Cant live like this anymore.. bleeding for 13 weeks

I will start off by appologising for the massive essay but i really need help π¦
So i posted on here about 7 weeks ago stating that i have been having periods all over the place at the beginning of the year, then i missed 3 periods and then had a period in August 2018 and i ended up bleeding for 8 weeks straight! I mentioned last time that my bleeding was super heavy, passing blood clots about 3 inch long and having absolutely no break in between bleeding!
Well i did have 2 weeks where i didnt bleed and it was honestly heaven! And now its back and ive been bleeding 5 weeks again! So in total excluding the 2 week break i have been bleeding for 13 weeks! And i can now say i am utterly depressed.
Since posting on here, i have been to the doctors more than 10 times and they just constantly fob me off! It got to the point where i was so weak (from blood loss) and tired that i ended up in A&E. They did an ultrasound, an internal scan and a gynecologist had a look inside. I ended up staying in over night so they could put me on a drip to slow my bleeding down. The next morning the head gynecologist came to see me and his verdict was that one of my ovaries was enlarged and this could mean i either have cysts on my ovary or polycistic ovary syndrome. He even said "we cant see exactly what it is because there is too much blood in the way" brilliant, so that made me lose confidence. They discharged me and said if i dont have another period i must go see the gynecologist in February!!! However, i have been bleeding again for weeks so i went back to my doctors and told to wait until Feb! I will add my surgery is useless, you never see the same doctor and they have a 1 star rating on google.
I feel so alone and im absolutely fed up of feeling and seeing blood! I am ruining all of my underwear and clothes from constant bleeding, im passing absolutely massive blood clots which are starting to give me a fear of going to the toilet, i feel self concious every day, im becoming weak and i know this isnt important but me and my partner havent been able to have sex in months! Im becoming super depressed but i dont know what to do or think anymore. My anxiety keeps saying its something worse and im going to die, i just cant cope anymore! Has anyone else had this or have any knowledge regarding this? I feel so so alone π¦

Hi, I don't know your age, but I had a period non stop for 3 months. On my ultrasound its showed I had a very thickend edno lining so I had a uterine ablation and it has been wonderful so far. My doctors didn't take me serious until I had lost enough blood to need a blood transfusion. I have very high anxiety and this only made my life a living hell. I think you are from the UK because you said A & D. As about the uterine ablations but only if you are old enough not to want to have kids. I'm 51 so that was not a issue for me. Best of luck to you, and please let me know what you find out.

Thanks for your reply! I forgot to mention my age woops, ive just turned 27 and i dont have children yet but was wanting to settle down in the next year or so. I am so afraid i will struggle to have them. Yes im from the UK. I agree, i feel as though doctors dont take us serious at all and its really sad because its becoming a nightmare to live with π¦ i will be contacting the doctors tomorrow and if no luck im going straight back to the hospital

Then an ablation is not a option for you. Once you have one you can never have kids again. Maybe a D & C. I had one of those as well. I think mine is hormonal and I also take a blood thinner which doesn't help. I wish you the best and just keep putting pressure on them. With any luck you will find a good ob-gyn to help you out. I've found that women gyn docs listen more than the male ones. But seems neither gender really listen to us until it's become an emergency. Best of luck to you and please do keep us updated on what you find out.

Yeah i firmly agree the females listen more, probably due to the fact they can relate. Its an absolute nightmare being a female sometimes! I will keep you posted, thanks for the help π

Hi Penny, I hope you are doing well. I do have a update you might need to know. I had the ablation then started bleeding in Jan. That is NOT suppose to happen. I just had my hysterectomy on Feb 26, 2019. I set up 2 masses after the ablation. It does NOT come without it's risk so you make sure you look it up and do your homework before you ask your doctor for it. The doctor that did my Hysterectomy refuses to do abalations because of situations like mine. I do wish you the best and hope things are improving for you. Please update when you know more and with what the doctor tells you. And please do find support if you need it. That is so very important. Best wishes to you.

im well thanks !still bleeding though ! thanks for your input and i do think to have all taken out would be best for me cause i just want this to be done with !! these female issues are making me depressed and have such bad anxiety !! so when i see the dr in a few weeks im hoping she suggests all out! i am going to Definitely keep you updated! Also did you have any complications with your hysterectomy just wondering? I took your suggestion and did look up the abalation procedure and I donβt think that it would be a good fit for myself!

Hi Penny, I've done very well. I had pain the first two days but its been pretty good since then. I've only had to take tylenol so that tells you my pain was not that bad. Some people do take pain meds but I can't because of the blood thinners I'm on. I see my surgeon today for my 2 week check up. Also, do you take anything for your anxiety? I have been on anti anxiety meds for years now. They help me so much. And watch out for the depression. When going through all this I had to see my psychiatrist a lot because this really does a number on your physical and mental well being. I'm here if you ever want to talk about anxiety. Its a horrible thing to have especially when this is also going on. Good luck and let me know what the doctor says.

i have been where you are in a way. i'm 19 and have been pretty much bleeding constantly since November 2013. i for some reason never been anemic which is amazing. i am constantly on the pill and still bleed. i had a D&C but it just made it worse. the doctors can't find anything wrong with me and since i am so young they took any type of permanent solution off the table because i wont be able to have children. i just need to live with it they tell me. the thought of ever having children makes me cry from fear. i dont want to have a daughter go through this if it is genetic. i am a freshmen at college and it sucks sometimes. Luckily i know where a bathroom is at all time and wear dark clothes. one night the pain and bleeding was so bad that i was not able to get up in my bed (which is lofted). i slept on the floor. the bleeding is usually light but there are times where i have to stay in the bathroom for hours. i cant exercise like i used to because it makes the cramping and bleeding worse. i also had to go to therapy because i am suicidal. this type of issue is so draining that it almost pushed me over the edge. so long story short (sorry, im an emotional teen) i understand the emotions and chaos. you are not alone
