    Just take the pill?

Some of us don't get 'pills' and have to just deal with the stress (you must be in America, yes?). If your not getting any side effects and only need to take like 1mg what is the problem?

I'd kill for a 'pill' right now. Instead I need to spend every penny I earn on healthy food and gym memberships just to get a few hours every few days..

Think yourself lucky and stop worrying about a problem you don't have. Take the pill and be happy!

You are making the same mistake everybody who takes benzos make. The longer you take them the more anxious and unable to sleep by yourself you are gonna be. Some day they will stop working and you will have to resort to more powerful ones, they will stop working one day too. Then,or maybe earlier you will hit a wall of withdrawal, which, let me tell you is nasty! these are controlled substances for a reason. Take my advice, your body will sleep eventually. The better you accept this truth, the better youll sleep. If you are young it is easier to take some sleepless nights at teh begining only to restore natural sleep.   For the initial peiod of coming off the benzos you can try to use Valerian root, melissa or theanine. In my case even 1200 mg calcium worked, since my sleeplessness was du to allergies and some asthma that I never realized I had.  Ask your doctor how to taper your benzo and do it. Your body has a natural way of restoring sleep after a while.
