CANT SLEEP

WAAAAAAAAA can't sleep....it's now 2.41am here in Oz im wide awake, havnt slept a wink tonight, and it isn't because of pain for a change. Ridiculously it's because I had virtually NO pain tonight so I didn't take any Endone.....hence still awake. What is going on??? I know Seretta and Mel couldn't sleep last night....now it's my turn 😩

Oh Kerri how rubbish, you can't win either way can you? Just goes to show how easy it would be to become addicted to pain killers though, I binned my tramadol as soon as I could. At least the pain has subsided :-) Doesn't seem like 2 mins since your op wow time flies when your having so much fun :-P Sending love ♥♥♥

Lol....thanks Maude. Now I'm wondering if time flew cause I was in an Endone stuper. Now pain is virtually gone and I don't need them.......YEP can't win....grrrrrr it's niw 3.30 am still awake

Ah Kerri! Can't believe you're at it as well now! There is nothing worse. I got up eventually and had a warm drink, stretched my shoulder out a little and sat in my comfy chair. I finally dosed off about 3ish! Still getting these spasmy tingles today tho!

I really hope you get some sleep, you've been doing so well and to get to the point of not needing your pain meds! Keep trying! Sending hugs and the sand man! Xx

      thanks Hun!!

if sandman comes my way I will grab him with open arms. Guess I can always catch up on sleep during the day, not allowed to drive and hubby....my saviour over the last 10 days is back to work tomorrow.

im actually laying in my comy chair right now, that's where I've been sleeping since I came home in my big leather lounge recliner.....it has been an absolute godsend. But not tonight unfortunately, I'm definately comfy just not sleepy 😩

when are you getting those tingles checked. If you have had nerve impingement I wondered if it's the nerves starting to re fire again. Certainly needs to be checked though 😘❌❌❌

Lol, you be careful, just grab him with one arm!! 😉 ah nerves re firing, good thinking! I'm hoping I can wait till I go to physio on Thursday, if they're still bothering me tomorrow I'll give the docs a ring. Better to be safe than sorry! Xx

    Poor Kerri!

I can totally relate to your sleep issues.  I just can't sleep....with pain, without pain, with meds, without meds.  It doesn't matter.  I've been sleep deprived since August.  I don't know what it feels like to sleep deeply or dream anymore.  I've got good news and bad news on this whole frozen shoulder deal.  The good news is, you will eventually thaw out.  My frozen shoulder has improved leaps and bounds through this last round of Physical Therapy.  My range of motion is way, way better.  Here's the bad news....I still have a lot of pain and I still can't sleep.  The trade off for gaining the range of motion back was that my doctor sent me back to work.  Can anyone tell me how someone is supposed to work on hardly any sleep?  That's my latest problem. I was up all last night worrying whether or not I would get enough sleep to function today (my first day back to work).  It's never ending :'(

Oh dear...you are in a bad way 😩

i really think my lack of sleep for just one night....so far 😳, was no Endone. I think I had got used to the last 10 days of taking Endone for the pain....last night, no pain....so I didn't take any Endone and my body was protesting by keeping me awake 😀

i don't exactly have frozen shoulder, I had surgery for a torn rotator cuff.

Hope you are ok at work today....

hi kerri i too am having trouble  sleeping , cant seem to get in a comfortable  position because my arm is constantly aching .

I have been sleeping in my lounge recliner since I came out of hospital 10 days ago. With the footrest up and reclined right back and a blanket I find it the most comfortable place to sleep. A friend who had the same op as me slept in hers for 3 weeks. Don't suppose you have one????

no i dont have one , its not the bed anyway its just the constant aching i my arm , i dont know about anyone else on here but this illness seems to drain me of energy im constantly tired , dont seem to be my normal self if you know what i mean .

Oh trust me I understand completely like I'm sure every single one of us on here does. The absolute fatigue is horrible Jim.....absolutely debilitating, I don't know if it's the 24/7 pain that does it. I felt amazing last night....even though I didn't sleep all night it was like someone had lifted the blanket of pain and constant aching right of me....it felt wonderful. But after sitting here in my armchair all day long this afternoon im aching and uncomfortable. And that's after surgery 😩

it looks like your on the mend , i know how you feel because i was the same when i had it in my other shoulder , maybe you should try a hot bath with some bath salts , always worth a try

You know what....I might just do that. I have a big spa bath so I can roll over to get up without using my bad arm/shoulder......great idea, very rarely use it cause I always shower. But a good soak in the tub sounds damn good 😘❌❌❌
