    Hi Toni,

At 1 week post op, the inside of my wrist was that greeny-yellow colour that ran halfway to my elbow. While my palm and fingers didn't go green, that hand was a darker colour to the other. This faded over the next few days.

But before we dismiss it as bruising:

    Are you still in pain?

    Can you move/feel those fingers?

Is there any red lines radiating from the wound?

Is there and discharge or blood from the wound?

If you are worried about it, please go see you Dr to get it checked out. If it's nothing then you will have peace of mind (just as important), and if it not, then you can have it attended sooner rather than later.

    Toni,

Call your doctor.  Why ask people who can't possibly know just what your finger looks like and are not professionals?  If it's fine, they'll let you know.  If not, you'll get the treatment you need.

Not asking for a diagnosis from anyone only asking did anyone notice this after their surgery, lot of brusing.

Hello Toni! Tomorrow the bandage comes off. Have you done your pumping exercises enough (flexing the fingers on the way up in the air, making a fist on the way down)? My surgeon told me that everyone has some discoloration but the extent of it depends on how much you have done the exercises. A very tiny part of my wrist (half a centimeter) was light yellow, that's all. It's when the hand is blue, purple or even almost black you should worry. If you're really worried I hope you've already been in contact w the surgery team by now. Keep posting here.

I was told to hold my arm up in the air every hour of the day, except from when I slept.

i had my surgery on 2/2/15 and was told to remove the padding and bandage today, which i have done and i have only a small amount of bruising [ you can hardly see it] on my palm - what i will say is that now that i have removed the padding and bandage i keep forgetting not to use that hand and try to use it and then i realise i can't do - so i have just put the bandage back on...........for now - i just wish i could post a pic on here to show you how well it has healed - i must have great healing skin.........x

Hello Maida! About the same amount of yellow as me then, or even less. I had the surgery 10 months ago and the surgeon told me that it will take at least 2 weeks before the scar is healed on the outside, then 6 months to be healed on the inside, then as long as it take for the nerve to heal inside. Normally the same time as you've had cts. Question: Is the pain in the fingers/hand still worst, or is the pain from the scar the worst pain now?
