Carpel tunnel surgery tommorow

Posted , 4 users are following.

I have my carpel tunnel surgery tomorrow and the doctors office won't tell me if the doctor will prescribe me pain meds or what kind! I'm on tramadol now and that doesn't help any. I don't want to be in pain after. Or at least help it. I don't think I want it done if they say to take something over the counter

I had surgery 7 days ago. Although they gave me pain pills, I haven't had to take anything other than ibuprofen.

That's good. I have concerns because I have localized motor tics. Makes me tense my hands and I also jerk them. More painful because I can't relax them or keep them still. This is what caused the carpel tunnel

I was prescribed Co-codomol 30/500 issued at the hospital. Word of advice from the surgeon, take the medication as soon as you come out of surgery and you have been issued with it. I never felt any pain, if you leave till the anaesthetic wears off you will feel pain till the meds kick in. Tramadol won't be doing much for your pain. I was on amytryptilne and naproxen beforehand and it was doing nothing.  Good luck and take it easy

I think it's just my anxiety! I wouldn't think an orthopedic surgeon would let me go home in pain. At least I hope not. My dad will probably have to make a pharmacy stop before he brings me home. That sucks.
