Cartiiva implant and getting insurance in US to cover the procedure.

I was scheduled to have the cartiiva implant along with cheilectomy and débridement, but have had the procedure denied by my insurance as being investigated or not otherwise clinically accepted medical service. I plan on appealing that and am looking for other peoples experience with getting the implant covered by their insurance in the US. Any tips or advice will be much appreciated!!!

My doctor does not believe other procedures should be done at the same time as the implant surgery. He would not recommend doing cheilectomy and debridement  at the same time.  He said all bone must stay intact for the implant to take hold properly. Just a thought. Maybe they are asling for too many procedures at once.

I believe I can get the cheilectomy and debridgement covered, its the implant they are denying, but I expect the written denial to arrive in my mail today so will make sure I understand it completely. What procedures have you had done (if you have) and in what order? I hate the thought of going under the knife more than once, but also want good results so thanks for the comment.
