Cartiva. Just had my surgery

I just had Cartiva Surgery 2 weeks ago.

Had the stitches taken out this week and so far things are going well.  Third day after surgery walking without crutches.   Certainly not without pain.

Just wondering how long the pain lasts when walking.  Wearing a Darco black shoe at the moment, just wondering how long it takes to be almost pain free.

I am 9 weeks post op. I can walk fine but it is not totally pain free, it hurts where the shoe rubs the scar area and sometimes the joint area throbs. and there is always a dull ache. I have good range of motion, I didn't got to PT.  I started wearing my sketchers go walks at three weeks.

Gemma I am 10 weeks post op. I would say I am almost pain free but it still does hurt . It's like a dull throb. But nothing like it was before surgery. It is a pain I can live with until it decides to be pain free.

Thank you Nancy, so I am thinking at 3 weeks I should not expect to have no pain.  It still hurts to get my foot in a shoe, even a sketcher so I am thinking of buying a pair of crocs today.  They are wider, but right now I am still wearing the shoe they gave me in the hospital, and a regular shoe on the other foot but I need something now to balance me out.   My sketchers I had before my surgery and I probably could push my foot in but just do not want too.   I am thinking crocs would be my best option unless you can recommend anything else.   Thank you again.
