Cast and boot gone now pain

I broke my ankle nearly 10 weeks ago

Cast 5 weeks boot 3 weeks

Been fwb for a week and 3 days I've not had to take paracetamol the whole time but the last few days I've started having to take them. Seems the more I move the sorer I get paracetamol helps

It seems worse in the morning when I first get up but am ok once I get going.

Doctor told me it will take 3-4 weeks for the muscles to get back to normal

Am down to one crutch and sometimes indoors I can use none

I no they say it takes 3 months to b ok and back to some normality but I'm not seeing light at the end of the tunnel just yet.

    Hi lisa.Im 12 weeks since accident, and got told on Friday I can now start fwb. Still need both crutches most of the time as the pain im getting is BAD. Back on the pain killers with in a few hrs of leaving the boot off. Pain and swelling within mins of geting up and he more i do the worse it gets. Didnt get told how much pain to exspect so dont know if thisis right? I hae physio this wed so will ask then. This is taking for ever!!!  sad  sx

      Awful isn't it I started fwb just over a week ago and at first it was ok but now it's horrible x

      oh no a week down the line and your still getting pain . This is awful, thought things would start to get easier once the cast/boot came off, but i seem to of gone backwards with the pain. when is all this going to end!! Not a good day for me today  sad sx

      Or me Hun I no how u feel it's awful.

      Just taking paracetamol and trying to deal with it and hoping this is normal. Please let me no on Wednesday.

      The pains not unbearable but it's bad enough x

      Thank you Lisa. I had to cone to bed early tonight just to get out if everyones way. Ive been ready to scream out because of the pain. Been putting foot in ice cold water but still hurts and swelling took ages to go dwn a little. I'm just hoping that this can. Be normal for some? Just about to take 2 ZAPAIN. Can't stand any more today. 😢 😢 😢 😢. Sx
