Why didn't you decide on the pan optic???

because of that 20% who are extremely disappointed and cant adapt to the night time haloes starburts etc..that trade off
and that not all 3 distances will be sharp..and because my optometrist said he has the hardest time correct multifocal with glasses and would never recommend them....also that it o ly was approved in the USA this past november..(so no patient on them for at least a year, reviews...
and several eye drs who themselves had cataracts removed and did not choose it.
At very first time I was so excited to hear about it..but then cane home and started doing massive research...
being without glasses possibly but having the trade off with those aberrations esp at night with multi and trifocals....was too much to compromise.... and ppl complaining they see the numerous rings in their vision!
These are some of the reasons.. trust me, I was all in for toric pan optix

Carol is talking about the pan optix. These just got approved this past november 2019.
So it not the same ones you have for 2 years.

they would be similar lenses - trifocals.

I believe the PanOptix has been on the market in Europe since about 2017. They have been on the market in Canada a while too. It seems the US was the last to approve them.

yes they have been out in Europe but I couldnt find any patient reviews one yr or more after getting them. so just this being this new in the USA it isnt enough time to make judgement calls. That's the first reason I'm backing out of them.

I wouldn't get the PanOptix either. I don't think I am the personality type that could put up with the night vision issues. However, if you have not seen it there is a video that compares the PanOptix to the Symfony. It gives you some idea of the pros and cons. Google this to find the video.

Enjoying freedom from glasses. The halos do not bother me, and it would be nice not having them, but all options seem to have a downside. Pick what is most important to you.
