THis is not normal. Get your husband to ring the eye department at the hospital where he was operated on and ask for advice. Ideally he should be seen by the eye department the Same day. My local hospital are very good from that point of view. Please do it as soon as possible.

I had my second eye Cataract surgery and its better than the first. Initially I had double vision that went away after an hour or so. I would definitely go back to your doctor immediately, That does not sound normal. My vision is 20/30 after two weeks and the latest one is slightly better. The second exam after operation on the last eye said the eye was still slightly swollen(?) and vision would probably be better after a few weeks.

Usually within 24 hours pf cataract surgery most people are struck by the fact that their vision has never been better.

Under the circumstances it can do no harm whatsoever if you were to immediately refer back to the surgeon who did the job, or alternatively to your husband's GP.

It might be that the new lens has slipped, in which case it needs to be attended to quickly.

It certainly doexn't sound right. I think he should see the eye doctor straight away.

    Good luck.
