Catheter ablation - very nervous

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hello,

I am 46 years old and have had SVT since I was 13. Recently, my episodes have become more frequent (every 3 months or so), and they don't stop on their own. I have to go to the ER and get a shot of Adenosine.

I can't afford to keep doing this because my insurance has a high deductible, so i have a catheter ablation scheduled for Nov. 3. I am very nervous. My doctor is highly experienced and says I can go home the same day, but I would love to hear about some others' experiences with the procedure. Is the recovery hard? I work from home, can I resume the next day?

Thank you so much for any advice. I'm happy to meet you all but sorry that we all have to deal with SVT!
