Catheter and vaginal hysterectomy

I had my surgery on Thursday and was sent home with a catheter until Tuesday bcuz I couldn't pee on my own, to swollen. I get it out Wed but it feels like it's pulling on my stitches and boy does it hurt. Any suggestions?

    Tape it to your thigh to take the weight off it. Is it on continual drain or do you drain it every now and then? Your local pharmacy probably has something designed for attaching it to yourself so it's not pulling downwards.

    Hello

    I'm surprised that you've still got the catheter in.  I had hysterectomy and the catheter was removed the following day.  I had no problems.  I suggest that you check out with nurse in your practice.  Good luck.  Lyn
