My husband has cauda equina 7 years ago but has been in hospital since Monday with another slipped disc on the Thursday he showed signs of bladder dysfunction again even though before he was weeing a lot better .. He has had two neurosurgeons look at the Mri and they say no reason for operation but had not been examined by a Neroligist is that right ?

So sorry to hear that,  it's every cauda equina syndrome sufferer's nightmare to have another damaged disc.

Am not sure how to answer your query though,  sorry. I would ask again at the hospital about who should be involved in your husbands care plan. Best wishes.

That's terrible. I hope the CES doesn't get worse and that the surgery goes well.

1st in have had the lot I won 1.2million pounds in damages. I won't go in to it all in June 2009 I had a mri scan it showed my discs at L4 LG were sticking out. By Aug I had caudal equina I was not admitted and when I was I was left for 5 days. Any way I have been left with right leg mobility and pain just as bad. I have a colostomy a wee stoma bag I have had my bladder out . I since have had a massive hernia repair last Dec now I have lost my iron so I have a bleed also I have got a incisional hernia which must be done. I am the worst case in England.

They can't leave him like that if he gets the never es damage it will effect both wee and poo. They are taking a big chance. Yes a neroli gist could help if the spectre muscle the nerve gets damaged the will be colostomy and I leal conduit wee stoma. So push it
