Cauliflower eat surgery

About 8 years ago I had a surgery done on my ear that was extremely infected(on my cartilage portion of the ear) they removed the infection and also removed the damaged cartilage as well.

All has been well with my ear for the past 8 years. About a day ago, I noticed my ear was kinda sore only  upon touching it or sleeping on it. Today I notice that it is warm to the touch.  I am extremely nervous that something is happening here. I do not have an ENT doctor has I was a minor when I had this procedure done. I am not sure if I should go running to the hospital or not. It’s not pain, just sore. Is this normal with a cauliflower ear??
