Cause of pain ?

Hi I have been suffering with horrendous pain now for over 4yrs, around 6 yrs ago I had PTSD, Anxiety and Depression and a work related shoulder injury which was operated on to relieve the pressure.  This fairly much cleared up, however, in the past four years I have been experiencing constant deep muscle pain in my shoulder muscles and neck, which is constant and feels like a deep pull, during winter and cold weather and rain this gets worse or if I get a cold it absolutely hurts me to tears.  I also experience lower back pain on and off and my wrists and ankles can be painful.  My knees feel like the muscles are tight and give me pain and they lock and click repeatedly causing me to experience horrific pain 10-12 times a day, I am espcially stiff overnight and in the morning but this continues throuhg the day.  Hvaing had bloods done they come back clear, but I still have pain in my muscles and have not damaged my muscles or strained thyem.

I am constantly tired and can sleep for 10-12hrs and wake up shattered, some days I have a bit of energy but can quickly become tired with simple tasks.  I still have anxietyand depression and when I visit my dr I get told that sokme muscular problems simply cant be solved.  At 34 I cant imagine living with this forever and am at the end of my tether wondering what is wrong with me, its currently managed with painkillers and anti inflamatories anti depressants which give some relief.  Does anyone have any ideas what this could be and how to get someone to listen

I had to attend a pain management clinic at my local hospital, and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. After two years of pain they placed me tapentatol, Paracetamol and duoxetine. Which help alot. Also light exercise like walking my puppy helps.

Hi male2069 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year, after 10 years of seeing different specialists no end of blood tests mris ct scans lung tests heart test all tests came back negative. my gp refered me to see a rheumatologist, who sent me for yet more bloods a bone scan and he did a pressure point test on different areas of the body their are 18 pressure points I got the full 18. The other tests were to rule out rheumatoid arthritus. He then told me it was fibromyalgia sent me back to see my gp for pain relief. its normally a rheumatologist that diagnoses fibro. Drs normally like to rule out other conditions it could be. before refering you to see a rheumatologist. A good an understanding dr helps my advice would be is make a list of your symptoms how your affected on a daily basis. find information out on fibromyalgia take the info to your dr see what they say. it sounds like it could be possibly fibro you have.A rheumatologist would diagnose it ots them you need to see. Hope your dr will listen and help you and refer you to see a rheumatologist best of luck

Thank you, my physio is looking at refering me to a pain clinic, my GP has taken more bloods today but says he does think its Rheumatoid arthritis due to bloods being clear before.  My occupational health therapist at work told me the GP should be sending me to a rheumatologist but when I mentioned that to my GP, he said there is no point as if the bloods are clear it wouldnt be Rheumatoid arthritis, so completely lost

When I had bloods taken everything came back normal a part from one which showed low in vitamin d which vitamin d tablets were prescribed for me. when you have fibro everything comes back clear all tests come back negative. Your gp is an idiot couldnt you see a different one or change practice. Even your ocupational health therapist thinks you should be refered to rheumatologist. Its a rheumatologist you need to see. cant believe what your dr said to you what a moron.Your dr should be doing more to help support you bud sadly their are alot of gps out their that just dont seem to care and wount except fibromyalgia exists. rolleyes Hope the pain clinic will be more helpful to you.
