CBD for Opiate withdrawals?

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi All,

I'm a long term addict and have been on pain meds for a few years (morphine and gabapentin) following emergancy surgery to repair a ruptured stomach ulcer caused by addiction to Nurofen Plus. Just as a side note, anyone currently battling with addiction to the dreaded N+, please be careful because they destroy your tummy. I very nearly died and had to spend a month in hospital recovering from emergancy surgery and fighting infection.

Anyway its about time I got off these but having been through the cycle of addiction > cold turkey > relapse several times already I just know I cant do cold turkey again. I just cant. I've been doing a little research and im thinking CBD oil is the way to go and Im wondering if anyone had gone down this route and if so, how was it? Did it help at all? im really hoping to have some positive replies, Im desperate for hope and i just cant see any other options available to me.

thank you!

Gradually decrease size of dosage of painkillers and be determined to stay on a same dosage of all time, until you are ready to completely stop taking them.
