CBT

Hi Everyone

I have been doing CBT for the last 3 weeks and is starting to make some sence why we do some of the things we do.

BUT

I think we all know that we have to slow down and pace ourselfes,

it is not so easy when you have a job and a family to look after.

It as made me realise I am not the person I was no matter how I tell my self I can cope, some days I just can't.

I understand that it is better to rest and not to finish a job but we all put pressure on ourselvies.

Take Care Mace 223 x

Hi Mace223 paceing is very important but I do have days when I over do it, then pay the price for it so frustrating, when you have to admit defeat and give in, I get upset and angry. Jobs are pileing up arnt getting done, I want to steam in and do them but reluctantly holding my self back. Dont want to end up in bed for days and months like I have in the done.certainly agree with us putting pressure on us I do it all the time. Take care  xwink

It is a sad day when you realise you are not the person you were but I guess it is accepting reality. Juggling everything, family plus work can't be easy. I am a big fan of pacing, we have a saying, do a little less but do it well. xxx

Well said Mace, and I totally agree with you.  CBT has helped me in the last 9 months and has made me more of a confident person dealing with my Fibro.

Gentle hugs and keep going with your sessions. wink x

You may not be able to do what you used to do...but. ..You are still you Mace..blessed-you may not think so... and  loved-always..., things take us much longer to do, if we can even do them anymore..but be encouraged..three is a light at the end of the tunnel..I've had Fibro fir over 20 years and 10 years before that undiagnosed...I just get bad flare ups now..it's like remission..pick your battles..some only bring you grief..stressless us the key to living with Fibro..be blessed, have a lovely day..:-) xxx
