CBT help needed

Posted , 5 users are following.

I have been advised to undertake CBT from my doctor to help with my depression and anxiety (not sure if it also helps with anger issues). My doctor told me I would be able to find some NHS online courses which sounded really easy. However when I have searched online there are millions, some which are NHS specific, some which relate to university studies and also so which are based abroad so I honestly haven't a clue where to start!!

I have phoned NHS Direct and they are yet to phone me back so I thought I would ask people who would actually know from experience which online therapies work and which don't.

I realise that counselling face to face is a good idea but waiting 6 months is too long, I need to make a start now.

Thanks for that. I'm waiting to hear back from my GP so I've just started using something called MindGym which seems pretty good. Thanks again.
