Had cefelexin for a UTI 7 day course. Horrible finished them a week ago and have terrible anxiety crying spells fear it's brought on my IBS just feel as if there no end to it every morning it's there lasts all day so hard to cope anyone else ?

Hi Marareta I've been going through something similar. Thought I had a UTI, went to dr. They did urine test, said it was positive. Gave me Macrobid. I only took 2. Wound up in ER with diverticulitis. More antibiotics. These antibiotics are very powerful and can cause a lot of problems. I'm considering taking a probiotic. When you say it's brought on your IBS, do you mean you're having diarrhea? I think you should drink a lot of water and try and flush your system of the antibiotic and eat very carefully.
