Well kids

I was just having a nice late afternnon shower after gardening

Now not gardening as i used to but gardening THR style

My surgery was july 25 today is august 20

So lets post and celebrate the things we love to do and how we do them now

I have walked one of our dogs around our block with my cane yay

I have gardened and pulled weeds using my cane to scoop them into a lightweight bag i bought after THR

I have walked few miles even in our dam sox

I have put on the dam sox myself

I have read an entire magazine without brain drain post op fog setting in

I have enjoyed wine although only a glass or 2 more than enough Right!!!

I have climbed up our stairs using alternating steps etc

So lets hear your celebrations

In between

THR the gift that keeps on giving as one post recently said 🏆🏆🏆🏆👏🌞🌞🌞👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Hey Jo, RTHR July 27. Glad to hear your doing good with your recovery. Hip is feeling better daily, went back to work this last week. Mostly at desk or driving, was very tiring first few days. So yes let's celebrate what we can do again! Just getting off the crutches, not walking miles yet ! But can walk without discomfort just the last few days, and that is exciting. Walking the dog a little farther now, and made it around the market pain free today. Really nice to be pain free again, this hip just started giving problems maybe 5 month ago and got bad quickly. Feeling very lucky to be on the road to recovery! Dave

Oh so much to celebrate ............

No more OA pain down the leg,

Lovely long (10 miles +) walks with my wife, biggrin

Going out with her to a concert last night, and reaching the top of the stairs first,

Commuting to and from work in London twisted

running down, and walking up escalators,

Cycling out for a sunday lunch with my wife,

being able to drive more than a few minutes

Being able to turn onto whatever side I want to sleep (even if I still cannot remain on my operated side for long)

Picking apples this afternoon, and pressing some lovely fresh juice.

    Just feeling normal again.
