I read the posts on here and realized that for some reason, I got lucky. Today was my three month check up.  Feb 13 I had TKR on right knee and today I was released with totally straight knee and ROM at 132. Still some slight swelling that comes and goes and numbness that may never go away but I am okay with that. Return in August for checkup but until then just continue strengthening exercises and be careful. Sending healing thoughts to all. I will continue to follow and where possible offer encouragement.

Hi, nothing scientific, just what I have.

      1) ride stationary bike 3 times weekly,

      2) use the bands to pull my ankle as close to buttocks as possible using 3 lb ankle weights,

      3) minimal squats holding on to counter,

      4) wearing ankle weights lay on my back, raise both knees and raise foot on right knee to other knee height and pull into buttocks as tightly as possible,

      5) and lastly I use my Kneehab XP to strengthen quads.

      6) After I finish, I ice about 20 minutes.

Just simple things. I think the key is to keep it up

      Good luck

It’s a device my surgeon provided prior to surgery for pain and to strengthen thigh muscles. It’s a series of sticky gel pads that holds a large band in place you apply from upper knee about 10”. Then you plug the controller in and it is programmed to squeeze muscles and relax in a pattern for 20 minutes. You control the pressure until you find what provides greatest relief. After staples are removed after surgery, you can use it again for pain relief but only after staples are removed. In both cases you do it three times daily. Fortunately my insurance covered it and the replacement pads. Hope this made sense.

Thank you!! My surgeon said today it was because I yelled for them to stop as I was going under because we needed to pray. I remember asking God to send His healing power,
