Good morning everybody ! Just received Census Forms. Page 7 Q.14

How to answer. Is PMR a long-term physical ill-health/disability ? Not necessarily related to old age ? I do look after my husband, 89 and he looks after me 87. It seem a bit tricky to tick the right box? Any suggestions ? Lovely sunny day...do not know if it will last...At soon. and thank you. Granny Moss. xxx

Have just filled mine in on-line but cannot submit it as, althiugh I have entered \"no visitors\" it still wants their details!!

I made the mistake of acting too quickly. [b:3f588237f8]I Know there will be no visitors on 27th March ( over my dead body )

Otherwise I thought it was well designed. A warning on the front would have been a help to people like me who like to get the boring stuff dealt with ASAP.

    Dear Granny Moss

My solution to this question was that perhaps my husband, being in the best of health, should complete the form! However, when I mentioned it to him he said he would answer the question \"yes\" adding that he has got a disability.......his wife!!! Seriously though if I complete the form I will answer \"yes\".

I am very weird :weird: I love filling in forms and ticking boxes so I'll be sitting down with a friendly glass :redwine: (just the one!) to enjoy half an hour of census information. (I found out what question 17 was about :?: ) and the answere is, no I don't!!!

Ours is sitting in Whitby I gather. So I went to look at the website (NOT as well designed as you say the form is  ) which tells me if I am going to be on holiday I should fill it in before I go - so how does that reconcile with BettyE's problem? Shame they don't provide a space to explain WHY there won't be any visitors: \"Please go and look for the nearest available hotel room. Thank you.\" I shall delegate my husband to do it online I think. I HATE filling forms of any sort. Especially the variety with multiple choice questions.

BTW - how do they know you told the truth about some things? Or are they naive enough to belive that if they threaten a fine everybody will do it right?

Just think, at least its just once in ten years. We have had to do the interim ones over the past ten years. Hoping this time, we do not get pulled out of the hat.

If we fill them in wrong, then your local council suffers, think Council Tax!!!!!!

    Hi all,

I just got my census form today as ours is on April 10th, and I think this is the first time we have had a question about a long term illness...although it may have been ther before but just did not apply then

I always wonder what the person checking the form makes of our families entries under \"religion\" as my daughter and I are a different religion to the men in the family....she went with mine, and the boys with their Dad, but the two boys now put \"none\", so between us all we have 3 differerent answers to the same question....keep them on their toes

Am just watching the horrendous news from Japan and it makes all of our problems seem minor.....those poor people just washed away in their cars and losing their homes puts everything in perspective

    Love to all, Pauline.

I usually get left to fill ours in - so this time I think I will be a Chinese Wiccan with limited mobility and definitely English (none of this 'British' stuff for me!)

I would bet my ears that it would never be noticed....................

This is the most complicated yet !!

The Conservatives are thing of cancelling it Im sure not everyone fills them in and doesent get fined !! I have to do my husbands brothers as he has learning difficulties They dont seem to make a lot of provision for people who have difficulties with reading and writing

I shall put Welsh on mine !! I was born in England of Welsh parentage ( both sides ) and was brought up to feel Welsh so that is what I shall put !

    Hello Granny Moss,

I will be ticking the Yes box re the long term ill health/disability question.

My husband also leaves these sort of things for me to do. His excuse now is that it will give me 'something' to do !

Mrs O, mine said the same re disability ! Good job I know he means it !

Betty, I too was all ready to fill it out and get it out of the way. More like before I forget it .

Went shopping in Shrewsbury today, not for too long, and so far, not feeling any the worse for it. Having a blue badge helps though !

Best wishes to all looking in, Julia xx

    Hello mrs O

No I cant sing either !! My mother did train to be an Opera singer but gave it up to look after her mother who was ill ( you did in those days )

My uncle was a very good singer and my Grandfather sang in Eistedffods and once sang at La Scala in Milan !! My cousins could all sing and play the piano but something went missing in me !!

My friends husband was teasing when we lost the Rugby a few weeks ago but I said well we won the singing !!

    Best wishes

    Mrs G
