Hey everyone, I’m hoping to get some advise on this horrible pill.

So Iv been on it for the past 5 months, as I can no longer take the combined pill due to I have a cervical erosion caused by the hormone in the combined pill.

However since been on cerelle my periods have been all over the place I don’t no if I’m coming or going on it I’m still bleeding 2 weeks later which stops throughout the day but in the early hours of the morning it starts again bright red blood I also feel sick when I wake up and have had back ache for the past two weeks also. Doctor wants me to try take it for another month to see how I get on but I don’t want to I think it’s ruiening me it’s awful. My mood also feels low and I’m snapping when I don’t usually snap. But it’s the bleeding that’s get to me as it stops and starts but always starts back up early hours of the morning.  Has anyone had a similar experience ?

Being on a mini-pill is very different to being on a combined pill. Because there is nomoestrogen the uterine lining doesn’t thicken, like it does on a combined pill. This is why you dont need the monthly 7 day gap.

However because the uterine lining is so thin - it can often bleed sporadically which is what is happening to you.

Have you thought about changing contraception - what about a copper coil?

Thank you so much for your reply, I have just been back to doctors and have been advised to come off this pill and try the coil so I’m having a think about having that.
