Cervical cancer- should I get private colposcopy?

Hi,

I had a smear test done and the results came back last week that I have abnormal cells and that my GP was referring me for a colposcopy.

I checked with the hospital that I have been referred to and the wait list is currently at 9 months. This would be ok except that I have symptoms of cervical cancer- pain, bleeding etc. I have been told by my GP practice that theres no way to be prioritised or basically be tested any quicker than this.

Do you think it is worth paying privately? I have been quoted around the 1k mark.
