Cervical Ectropion and other issues

I've been experiencing some confusing symptoms for the past few months and I was wondering if anyone has any insight.

I had sex for the first time in nearly a year a few months ago, and that is when my problems started. I missed a period which is highly unusual. I took a pregnancy test which was negative, but my period still didn't arrive. I had spotting and strangely, every time I had a bowel movement, I would bleed from my vagina. I decided to go on the mini pill (Cerelle) to avoid any future scares but stopped taking it after two weeks because the side effects were too much for me. I bled quite a bit on the pill, and passed tissue and when I stopped taking It, it took a while to settle down. After that, I started experiencing cervical pain (I felt the pain in my cervix, not my vagina or pelvis)...the pain spread to my pelvis and became almost unbearable. It hurt to pee. It hurt to have sex. It even hurt to walk. I went to my GP, who after examining me, diagnosed me with cervical ectropion and referred me to gynaecology. Fast forward a few weeks later and I still haven't had a period, and I'm still getting intermittent pain in my vagina and cervix. I'm also getting recurrent UTIs which weren't a problem for me before.

I'm really confused and worried, and wondered if anyone can shed some light on this for me.
