Cervical Sondylosis - Confused

Hi Everyone,

I was recently involved in an RTA (12 months ago) and started having pains in my neck. After an MRI scan my GP told me that I had an oesteophyte bar at C5/6? On looking this up I feared a future life troubled with arthritis, I am 46.

On referral to the specialist I stated my concerns and was told not to worry about arthritis since my problem was a degenerative disc which is bulging.

I have now received the report from the specialist which states that I have C5/6 Spondylosis.

From what I have read on the net it appears that my condition is actually arthritic. I am really confused please help.

I would like to know what I can do to alleviate the condition if this is possible. If not then obviously what can I do to prevent it getting worse.

I feel like all of the health professionals that I have seen think that I am just out for an insurance claim after the accident.

I really don't want money and would just like my health back.

I am not looking for miracles but would really appreciate the advice of those of you who have been suffering with this condition.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,I had a injury c5/6 and a frozen shoulder the health professionals have been covering up alot to and I ended up with black fingers, stroke, and a amputation to my leg they have or blamed it on crohns which i had never meet my crohns doctors only when my fingers turned black ten years later after i had crohns.

I reading all my medical notes and things just don't make sense and all i wanted was no one else going through what i went through and that makes me mad because i have a child, on my own and was working and now my life is ruined well i have had my moan for the day i just don't want anyone going through what i have. nice speaking to you rose

after all my medical problems that have arised through this, why do you think they are covering up, why do people that are surpose to care couldn't careless, thats why we go to them and I'm sure if i get paid as much as they do, and get to go to uni I think I would learn something, they should be protecting us love to hear your comments thanks rose.My injurie information was kepted in the private hosp not going through the public, even my own doctor kepted a file for my injury not letting public hosp know about my injury looking over my notes what do they get for covering up my injury I lose a hand a leg have a stroke so they can get paid or holidays out of it  why why why i relied on them

hi mark.......... i went private to a specialist ( neuro ) as what was thought was sciatica was ' spinal stenosis ' - the guy though was thorough and checked my upper reflexes........ and the mri scan showed c5 c6 - csm.... in my case ' ageing ' but as there is compression - he is going to do a fusion....... to protect from any possible deterirotion in future.... i just have very slight tingling in two small fingers and very slight numbness........ BUT i have noticed my writing is wobbly and i am prone to some clumbsiness... with the hands...............

the ss will be done via micro later.........all in all a few months of anxiety before i can get back to life again.............
