Cervical Spondylitis and Hiatus Hernia

Hi guys and Gals, I'm new to this site but find all the posts interesting. I'm a 58 year old Carpenter and suffer with CS and HH. was diagnosed in 2001 with CS after a horrendous fall which fractured my neck! and last year with a sliding hiatus hernia 3cm after suffering for years with GERD!

my symptoms are as follows; chest pain, neck and shoulder stiffness and pain, numbness in face

hands and leg (left side where I hit my head) back and hip pain, muscle spasms and the most

horrendous sensation of being impaled through the centre of my chest right through between my

shoulder blades! over the last year it's got extremely worse and I've been hospitalised and been

checked for everything under the sun CT and MRI scans of my brain, chest x-rays, bloods etc.

I'm convinced it's CS that's causing most of my problems and finally after moaning like hell the

NHS gave me another MRI scan of my neck and spine, get the results next week when I have an

appointment with my neurologist...I've been on the HH forum and all my symptoms could be from

the hernia, then I come on here and find the same! so is it a combo of both or just one?

sorry for rambling on but I'm sooooo frustrated....

It's good to let it all out. All the money payed to asylum seekers, bankers and they can't afford decent treatment to people who've paid a hell of a lot to the National Health etc

    HI Eddie,

I just wondered how everything turned out for you.  I hope you've found some relief.  I'm sure an update would help many on this forum who may find themselves in a similar condition.

    All best wishes.
