cervical spondylosis

I am 43 years old and have been ill since last august and diagnosed in November last year. I feel that I have aged 20 years in the last few months with the aches and pains combined with numbness in left arm and sometimes a limp in the left leg, let alone the severe headaches and neck pains and the lack of sleep! Recently I have been getting dizzyness which apparently can be part of the condition. The doctor has tried different nsaids but so far that has not worked.

Accupuntor is being tried out now by the physio. Been back to doctors today, had to see a different one, ( I have been seeing the same one since been diagnosed, because he diagnosed correctly). Took awhile to get through to him that I had my condition, it would have helped him probably if he had read all my notes from the consultant's first!

It does feel sometimes that you are making it all up, and that it is not as severe as you make out it is. But you will all agree that it is! They seem to come abit stuck when you go back several times on the trot when things have not improved, let alone asking for a sicknote for work.

I am hopeing that accuppuntor works, because I think it will be along time to get a refferal to the orthopedic dept.

Will have to see how things go.

    Hi

Hope your feeling better. I agree most doctors either under estimate the pain or think we are exagerating it. I have been to see a consultant neurologist who would not operate but has now refered me for facet joint injections. Will let you know if these help
