CES on one side?

Does CES present itself in both sides or could it be in just one side only? So here is my story, and I am very, very concerned I could be having CES.

On Thursday I was building some Ikea cabinets and my lower back hut really bad right after, i took a hot bath and went to bed. In the morning I woke up a bit sore but nothing terrible, that Friday afternoon I went to do aerobics where i was jumping up and down and doing lots of lower leg exercises (im slightly overweight nad have just recently started exercising). My legs were killing me but i went to bed and woke up the next morning with a strange feeling like my leg was wet but it wasnt. When i got up i realized my whole  leg, butt, groin and about half of my genitals 'num' not entirely as i am able to feel touch and different sensations just muted and im having sensitivity to temperatures. Yesterday morning I went to my dr. who is also an osteopath (and does manipulations) she recommended I get an MRI (which im scheduled to have tomorrow) but of course, after googling I am wondering if I could be suffering from CES and should just drive myself to the ER.

I have no pain whatsoever, just the odd numbness which feels like sensations are 'altered' in the left leg, butt, part of the genitals and upper lower back going around the front like the hip. Does this sound like CES? i know none of you are doctors, I am just panicking and would like to hear your thoughts.

Thank you in advance!

    Hi Lizzy,

My CES only effects one leg majorly so yes I believe you can have CES on one side.

I had huge amounts of pain with my initial accident however after 2 opps I now can carry on with a normal life working, being a mum and wife and enjoying hobbies, life is good.

It sounds like your in good hands getting an MRI so quickly so I wouldn't be alarmed, one of the major issues with CES is bladder and bowel incontenance, hopefully you're not having issues in this department?

Iv been told that CES varys so much case to case so I would not get to upset by what you read.

Wish you all the best for your MRI x
