You ned to keep pushing to see the right specialist, lots of doctors will tell you nothing can be done. There are a team at the North tees Hospital at Stockton on Tees and another specialist at Sheffield who can fix a lot of these things.  The NHS rules say your doctor has to allow you the use of the services anywhere in the UK so don't be put off, insist on seeing someone who might be able to fix you.

The Nuffield hospital at Norton  (nr stockton on tees) operates privately and if you can only afford an initial  discussion with the right man, you can still go on the NHS.  You could even ring the Nuffield and ask about the right people and get their names even if you can't afford to go there. Look up Kspine on the website also.  The man who fixed me has retired but his team are still doing the same job.

    Regards.   JD
