My doctor is suspecting that I have CFS and for part of the diagnosis is referring me to Infectious Diseases & Tropical Medicine specialist.... Is this normal routine?

I got referred to a ID speciailist too when ruling things out. Usually because Lymes disease is one thing they like to rule out when diagnosing CFS and it is technically a tropical disease. Good luck smile

Being diagnosed with CFS basically means that the doctors can't work out what's wrong with you. They have to try every other possibility before they run out of ideas and declare that you have CFS/ME. So this does sound like a resonable step to take before you have a CFS diagnosis.
