This forun is excellent but I have a book called Living with M.E bt Dr Charles Shepard, I class thid book as by bible. It's good to read about many of your problems from a doctor. The doctor has M.E it started when he wasd at medical school and he had problems being believed he was ill.

Take Lou's advice and if you spend your money on anything buy the book she has mentioned.

I was very scared until I read it but liek Lou quotes is "my bible" too. I think :nurse: Katie told me about it.

If you are out of work then Amazon do them second hand or try e b ay

i will give that a go i think!i was just on you tube and saw a vid saying how m.e shortens lifespan by 25 years!!i really am shocked as i have been told its something that you can get better from!

Well I've never heard that one before and I must say I will take it with a pinch of salt otherwise we will all be dead by the age of 55 :shock:

Some people do get totally better from it, others get differing degrees of recovery. A few remain profoundly disabled. Nothing is set in stone.

I saw the article too about ME shortening life by 25 years - what a load of old rubbish. :?

I had ME from the age of 34 -37 (it just gradually disappeared) and then again when I was nearly 53 - so I've had it a second time for nearly two years.

So according to that stupid article I could well be popping off any minute. :shock: :shock:

thanks katie thats nice to here!its funny i saw in one vid on you tube that says it shortens lifespan and then in another that they have found out that are bodys work 4 times as hard as anyone elses and that the think that there will be a cure within a year!so that kinda says it all really lol well anyways im just sat at home trying to relax got myself some vitamins today and some ginsing tea haha all my so called mates are out in town and i cant remember the last time i was well enough to drink or go out on the evening for that matter haha i really like the idea of afew of us getting together in some chat room one evening so lets try to sort that out!i saw a posting on here the first time i ever came to this site and the title of the post said something like "a me day out"or something like that and i just remember thinking that sounds so funny everyone at a park somewhere having a picnic all ill and crashed out and with dark shades on!!you can imagine it for yourselfs im sure lol :lol:
