CFS/ME Worth a Try?

At the worst point bedridden for 3 months with cfs, packed my
business up, and got involved online renting snowboards to school
groups, then went out over several seasons to Austria during
dec/jan, the air in the alps can be very polluted due to all the lorries
crossing EU, but the temp's often got down to -25 in such conditions
I was able to do quite strenuous work working with kids carrying their
gear etc, with no fatigue effects, I can only conclude it has similar benefits
to an ice bath /cold showers,( google benefits)
with the present cold weather now in the UK I find I can work outside in freezing
conditions, clearing snow etc, without much fatigue,
Yet if I go all wrapped up into a department store with the heating on I
just wilt, and go down hill pretty quick,
are there any suffering cfs/me willing to try some sort of exercise in freezing
conditions and post any benefits?

Although I'm not able to do strenuous exercise I find I'm able to do more in the winter than the summer. I'm able to walk much further (about an hour or more compared to about 20 minutes in the summer) and faster in the winter and have more energy for doing things like yoga. In the summer I struggle doing most things as the heat just drains all my energy plus I have allergies to pollen which is an extra strain on the body.
Not sure why this is but don't know if I'm brave enough to try the ice bath or cold showers!!!

Hi Mike, I read your findings with interest because I am the complete opposite. If I get cold I become completely immobile, my entire body hurts and my brain shuts down.
I won't be volunteering to help with your research hee hee but would be interested to hear your findings.
