Chairs! - What do I need?

Hi everyone.

I'm on the 6 week countdown to my surgery.  I was wondering do you need to have the toilet lift and any kind of special chair to sit in afterwards? Is it worth renting something and if so what did other people do?

I live in a small apartment with a two seater couch and thats it so Im wondering if I should hire a chair.

Thanks!

Hi Beth,You need a raised Loo seat.A High chair or a decent computer chair.A slippery plastic sheet on your bed to help you get into bed or out of A long scarf to help you lift your leg into our out of bed. Also a high bed but this can be raised.A commode maybe in the bedroom if the bathroom is far away.Above all make sure you have plenty of help from Family & Friends.Excerises are very important each day. Please follow advise from the Doctors at the hospital. Get easy foods in that you can microwave.Regards Amanda
