Hello everyone,

I have been thinking about this crap fibro this week and how a lot of people really don, t understand what we are all going through.

As someone at work on Friday said, how are you today, and when I said I have a lot of pain today there reply was, have you taken your tablets, as if this magic tablet will make everything go away!!!!

Well it doesn't it only takes the edge of the pain and at the moment every step hurts and I smashed a glass yesterday as my hands won't work.

I was thinking how we can make more people awary of the problem.

So I am asking you all for your surggestions.sorry for some of the spellings very tired today.

Thanks Mace Take Care

A lot of people are so ignorant to what we are going through, because they can't see anything physically wrong with us were obviously not in as much pain as we are!

    Take care

I know last night I was in agony in my shoulders wrists even my face hurt in the end I got up an took a extra Iburofen got to sleep in the end and fell a bit better in the mornining but it' like a cloak of pain over you waiting to attack even raising your arms to wash your hair can be a challenge with the pain the only thing that seems to work is to rest up for a while cause if after you do anything that means going for it like e.g defrosting the fridge you pay for it later

Hi Linda sounds that you need to chat with your Dr about better meds and what you can take, I don't think shoulder dislocation could hurt much more than the way my pain peaked in shoulder, and you can never find any rest point were if you have fidgitted and moved all around the settee a million times you cannot get comfortable. I'v been on some patches for about a year now and they are amazing, the only time I get really bad pains again is when i'v forgotten to change them (every 3 days) and if anyone else is same as me that 1 pain has had it's huge gnashers ripped out is an amazing feeling, i'v found it has helped with other joint pains as well, doesn't work on muscle pain much, but hey that may be just me xx

These forums are the only place I find true acceptance. Have even pulled away from long time friendships because they just don't get it.  There is alot to be said about the "invisible" illnesses and how if people can't see it, it doesn't exist, or we are over exagerating out symptoms. I've recently removed myself from a friendship of 28 years after comment to me that she wishes she could be on disability vs. working and would gladly switch places with me. I told her to be careful what she wishes for...she basically told me in so many words that she doesn't feel I am all that disabled.  Unfortunatley, this is my new reality and is not that of what it used to be.  I no longer have anything in common with many of my friends that I've had for years, sad but true.  Have become very self isolative.  I think we all get tired of the ignorant comments.  As far as what we can do to help with awareness....unless people can experience what we endure, I honestly don't know what can be done.   Be well and take care

That's really sad that your friend said that to you and now your not friends.

I'm not sure if most of my frinds understand but my real friends are kind and listen.

My work friends don't try to understand. They say stupid things which I ignore.

You so right about resting.when i'm still it does not hurt so much. Take Care x
