Change in bowels and upper left back pain

I’m new to this particular group, as now becoming desperate in the hope that someone might have an idea ?
My story starts end of January beginning of Feb this yr. I d been struggling since September with terrible stress /Anxiety My 19 yr old disabled daughter went to residual College which has been very traumatic for her and us , only now things are straightning out.
I started to notice I had a left upper back pain , very localised which just became constant. No worse no better , just there !!!! ALL the time. It generally gets worse as the day goes on , and relief is felt in bed (but still can pin point). Anyway this carried on relentless and then about 4 wks ago I noticed my stool had become “softer “. I’ve always been more inclined to constipation, though not often , so this was a definite shift. Then literally 3 wks ago I woke up and had light coloured diarrhea , only once but definitely diarrhea , and ever since then I’ve had soft stools another bout of diarrhea , it’s also lighter brown than I think is my normal and mostly floats.
Dr very reluctantly has done a blood test and calpro stool test. (Waiting results). He’s is saying nothing to worry about just stress, but I’m really concerned that this might be a pancreas problem. “Cancer” is the obvious fear.
I’m really trying to work out if the back pain and bowel problem are just coincidental ?
I’ve had liver function bloods since sept last yr and until this week the last one was in Feb. So I’m thinking that surly something would have flagged up before now ? Or is that just me being hopeful.
Thanks so much for reading this. I’m really hoping that someone can give me some possible ideas. As what could have gone wrong. Btw I’m 49 and hormones definitely on the change ? ! X

IBS comes in different guises but with several symptoms in common. Stress linked, altered bowel habits, constipation diarrhoea bloating abdo pain after eating, back pain are some in common. It is almost always worse when you are under additional stress. I would say that the fact that your LFT's have to date been clear then I feel that this is a very good sign. I have heard that the low Fodmap diet works wonders for some and therefore perhaps worth a try. Personally, when my pain is at its worst I lie down and do some slow deep breathing, seems to help
