      Hi Lina,

My boyfriend is on 450 mgs Pregabalin for anxiety and he swears by it but as you say there's been a lot of bad press about it.

Additionally, I was prescribed 25mgs Pregabalin last year for anxiety but never took it. I had some hospital tests (currently am hooked up to a 24 hour ECG monitor) this morning and was in such a desperate panic and my heart beating so fast that I thought it was going to pop out if my chest! I phoned my GP and asked if it was ok to take a Pregabalin today which she agreed too. Within a couple of hours I felt so chilled out. I will probably take one this evening to chill me out tonight before the monitor goes back tomorrow.

I guess you could give it a try.

      Good luck.

Hi Deborah, Pregabalin works well for my boyfriend. I tried it yesterday for one day only to help me through a stressful situation and it really helped but will not be taking it everyday. I'm already on Citalopram 40mgs and Mirtazapine 11.25mgs and really don't want to add in another medication. I guess you could try it and if you don't like it stop taking it. Or how about taking it on an as and when required basis?
