2 years ago I noticed my bowel movements were different than usual. Sometimes they were very dark. I worried myself so much that I had a colonoscopy. Everything came back fine and my doctor suggested I start taking fiber. it has helped to make my bowel movements softer, but the color still varies.

I have a mixture of diahorria and constipation, and it's sometimes very dark. I'm thinking I may have ibs, I can go days and not have a movement x

I'm having changes in my bowel movenents as well, sometimes solid and dark (which I like) and lately very soft and lighter. I don't know if it can be SIBO or if it's due to hormonal changes, because when I was young I usually had diarrhea with my period..

Never had constipation in my life before, but now it is a regular occurrence. Definitely hormonal as it started to happen over the past few years, every month just before a period, resolving as soon as bleeding started. Now I am further along the menopausal pathway it occurs more often.
