Change of branch from sovereign to accord

3 days now of taking accord citralopram 20mg and my anxiety and panic attacks are back. I have rang my gp and they are sending me a new prescription for my original brand. I feel terrible and like all the hard work I have done to get myself better as been undone. Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I've took both Accord and Sovereign with no problems. I was taking Accord Citalopram 10mg and was told they don't do 20mg, so was changed to Sovereign 20mg and was apprehensive, but had no problems. I always check the ingredients when I'm changed to see if there is anything else added, but most brands have similar ingredients. I've been taking it for 11 weeks now and seeing improvement. It sounds like a blip you could be having, I've just had one for about a week, but its easing now, I would ride it out D x

Lets hope so, it's the last thing we need, with everything else going on.

Hi Nicola, with me it's the other way around. I was on accord for years and since the pandemic they have been changing my brands and the one I can least tolerate is sovereign. I am told that they take what they can get because of a shortage of meds. All this swopping around has definitely had an affect on me, particularly as I am trying to withdraw from them slowly. It's something to do with the coating and what it's packed with. Many others are affected by brand changes too.

Thanks for replying. I thought i was being silly and it was all in my mind that I felt really offish again. I start back on the sovereign brand tomorrow and I am hopeful that I will feel better soon. 😊
