Hi there, if you can't sleep, or stay asleep, pain or pain and worry must be the cause. Speak to your Dr about this. My Dr told me about Lyrica and 150mg works well for me and it's part of my nightly meds for ankylosing Spondyloarthritis and fibromyalgia. 75 mg is lower dose but I only have that if 150mg doesn't keep me asleep because I'm worrying about something or pain is affecting me..

Thanks jillian,
i thought I'd ask about Melatonin too as I read in a discussion on here that it can also work to help sleep.

I strangely feel better when I'm focused at work. I'm More exhausted when in at home. Trying to take vitamins everyday and eat a bit better. Doesn't help that this weekend was wrong time of the month

Can you relate:- after doing 2-3 jobs most days over past. 25 years- the more I I did the more I took on then my body began to retaliate. Now I feel total physically and mentally tired.
I found myself quite often saying how tired I felt.
If we're not careful we talk ourselves into what we feel. It's all about balance of work and play and a change is as good as a holiday.
I found I was in a rut so try to plan something to look forward to daily or weekly and helping others has meant helping myself.

Hiya my names Pauline. I'm new to this forum as of today, but I suffer from change of any season and any type of weather. Does it affect you also when it's to hot or cold? Some days it's so bad I litrally can't move from my bed due to pain x

Hi Pauline,
First thing that comes to mind with me, because of the info that you've given, is seasonal depression and secondly, I've learnt how easy it is to convince our subconscious that we hurt or are too cold or can't move, sometimes to the point that we don't move and get out of bed.
I experience this myself.
If we say negative things too much then we can become what we say, hence the power of positive thinking to get us up and get moving. I'm having a problem with this again this week- I know it's easier said than done at times. I so need spring weather especially because the last 2 months have been extra cold and have taken extra mind work.
Panadol osteo and regular gentle physio stretches to strengthen core muscles and hydro helps me a lot and focusing on positives . Since I've been diagnosed with ankylosing Spondyloarthritis, I'm also on other prescribed medication.
I haven't had a problem with too hot yet as I've only been experiencing fibromyalgia since mid March. 6 months.
Sounds to me like you have arthritis and seasonal depression and you aren't alone.
This forum is great- it has helped me quite a lot.

I'm sorry I think I sent the message before I finished typing it out. I am also diagnosed with depression and h.I. v so have quite a lot going on. As to seasonal depression I do get low during the winter but I wouldn't say it gets any worse. Just have to keep plodding on and try to stay positive although it isn't always easy. Do you think I should be in medication for arthritis as well?

Hi again Pauline,
Arthritis, hopefully not..You and your Dr would determine what you need.
I can't offer much support at the moment because I'm struggling myself this morning.
I over did it physically yesterday, trying to help with sheework, as I've done for forty years. I have to stand downI - it's very hard to do as I really love farm life.
