Changing brand

hi did anyone ever feel like it they got a different brand of citalopram anxiety came back.. 9 days ago i started my 2nd pack of 20mg and was a different coloured box..didnt think much of it at the time but anxiety is bk as bad as ever.. last 2 weeks have been tough with divorce etc n had a bad cold and that time of the month..so unsure wats causing this as i gad slightly started to feel better..any thoughts?

    I have had real problems with some brands. They can make me more anxious than ever and are actually worse than taking nothing at all.

    After trying Mylan brand, this is what I get now and I like it pretty well.

    Yes - different brands can cause a person to feel anxious, depressed again.

    Its not that the generic meds are inferior to the branded ones. but generics may be slighly different and cause impact.

    Whilst the active ingredients remain the same, often the non active ingredients (stuff that binds and coats the pills) can be different which can affect the rate at which a drug is released. This can be felt by some people.

    So yes - different brands can feel different.

    You can also check the PL number on the side of the box - its a unique licence number given exclusively to a particular drug - if the same number, then its exactly the same. If not, then its slightly different.

    i got the doc to give me a new set of citalopram so i went back after i found th3 empty box in my car so hoping goin back to these may help..

    oh god yes! I had a new brand this time and I've felt so weird, shaky, anxious pooping at weird times!! its happened once before and i thought id try it again as thats the one the chemist gave me, nah, not doing that again! xxx in a way its good toknow its happening to other people so I dont feel Im going backwards when i thought i was doing well xxx
