changing dose from morning to night? how to do it?

Hi, ive been taking 100mg sertaline in the mornings but making me fuzzy all day so was thinking of starting taking at night to see if that makes a difference to how i feel during the day, maybe a bit clearer. The problem is though, i know you should take it every 24 hours, at roughly the same time each day or night. So how do i make the transaction, do i miss a dose in the morning and wait until night, or take my usual does in the morning and 12 hours later at night time take another does, if you know what i mean, or if that makes any sense at all lol. Bit confused lol.

When I was on 50mg I changed mine from morning to night. I was quite uneducated about sert at the time and I broke one in half and took in the morning and the other half at the night. Then took 50mg the next night. BAM. I was a wreck. I would suggest that if you can just take med an hour later each day till you reach your required time. I have done that this last week because I started back at work and so moved back from 10 at night to 8. This has had no impact.

    Good luck

Incidently I have felt better taking it at night apart from waking up soaked in sweat and dehydrated. ( This has stopped now somewhat) I took in the morning initially because I thought I might forget to take it at night and then I would be in another dilemma. I have put an app on my phone called medisafe which reminds me to take meds

    Good luck

I’d miss one I took one at night then in the morning the other day not understanding the side affects as I’ve only been on them

5 weeks and I was so dizzy and spaced out I actually hated it although I didn’t feel anxious or angry I’m too scared to even take 100 mg as it’s made me feel too weird so I might try another anti depressant do u find u can deal with the odd feeling it gives u

yeah i don't mind the odd spaced out feeling, its kinda like being a bit tipsy, it does put me off going out though, and for me those feelings tend to diminish over time, so im sticking with it just now, that's one of the reasons i was thinking of taking it at night, as at the moment i take it in the morning, but when i first wake up and before i take my tablet, my head is clear and i feel ok, but after i take it i get that fuzzy dizzy, spaced out feeling, So i thought if i take it at night, ill be spaced out while im asleep, and hopefully clearer during the day. But generally as a side effect i don't mind it, and im sure it will pass, but im lucky as at the moment i dont have to go to work, i wouldn't be able to do that with the spaced feeling. it is helping me though, i am in a better place now than i was before i started taking it, and the spaced feeling is just a side effect that will pass in time, I hope lol.let me know how you get on with it, you say you've been on it 5 weeks, im only on week 2. All the best take care G

Also. I find, that, i usually take it between 6/7 am and by 12 o'clock in the afternoon im just spaced and tiered, and have to go back to bed and sleep till around 3 in the afternoon, (again im lucky im in the position i can do that) But i find by 6 in the evening my head is a lot clearer and the spaced out feeling has diminished. so the spaced fuzzy feeling, ( for me) seems to ware of throughout the day. Thats why i was thinking of taking it maybe a couple of hours before bedtime, so my head might be clearer by the morning. again tho, it is definitely helping my depression and anxiety so far, but it does take time for it to work properly, but the early results im getting are positive and out way the side effects im having.
