Changing from citalopram to sertaline

hi wondered if anyone has any experience of changing from citalopram to sertaline? i have done 6 weeks of 10mg 8 weeks of 15mg and nearly 3 weeks of 20mg of citalopram. anxiety/intrusive thoughts are still very much present and gp said maybe to switch to sertaline. however so scared to change as starting citalopram was horrendous and just cannot go through that again. i feel i maybe havent given the 20mg long enough to reach full potential. any thoughts, experiences or advice would be amazing as i feel the docs are really wuick to change things and going by these forums people take months not weeks to get better.

    hello i recently changed from citralopram to sertraline, and its the best thing i did, was struggling with the aide effects of citralopram but hardly have any with sertraline and feel good!

      hi laura thank you for taking the time to reply to me I appreciate it. Did you have to taper off the citalopram before you started the sertaline? Many thanks 😃
